Matapos tuldukan ang UAAP career bilang kampeon, dadalhin naman ni Dave Ildefonso ang kanyang husay sa Korean Basketball League.


Nakopo ng second-generation star ang Season 85 title sa team ng Ateneo Blue Eagles nitong Lunes ng gabi laban sa University of the Philippines sa do-or-die game ng men's basketball Finals.


Hindi man ito ang momentum na laro ni Idefonso sa ginawang two points, at ma-fouled out sa natitirang 24.1 seconds. Matikas pa rin ang mga kakamping Blue Eagles, tiniyak nilang lilisanin ni Ildefonso ang Katipunan na may tatak na UAAP championship.


"I'm just so happy. So happy. UP Fighting Maroons really played the series really well. Since last season, I've been thinking about the loss, and we all have," ani Ildefonso, na naging pahirapan din ang laro noong Season 84 nang bumitaw ang Ateneo sa korona para ibigay sa Katipunan rivals.


"You know, we just stuck to the system. We just followed Coach Tab [Baldwin]," aniya pa. "I'm just super happy right now… Three years ago, I would have thought that I would be a champion, but I'm a champion now."

Nagtapos sa lungkot at luha ang kampanya ng University of the Philippines para sana sa titulo ng UAAP Season 85 nang matalo sila sa Ateneo Blue Eagles sa Game 3 ng men's basketball Finals.


Pakay sana ni Tamayo at ng Fighting Maroons ang ikalawang straight UAAP crown at second title nitong 2022, pero kinapos nang mang-iwan ang Ateneo sa 9-0 start at patatagin pa ang momentum na lamang na 20 points. Tatlong puntos na lang ang lamang, pero isang clutch free throws ni BJ Andrade ang pumalya sa defending champions.
