Walo sa pinakamahusay na pambansang koponan ang magtatagisan para sa eFIBA Season Three World Finals ngayong Dis. 11 at 12 sa SMX Convention Center Clark sa Pampanga. Pangungunahan ang mga kalahok ng punong-abala at kampeon ng Asya eGilas Pilipinas at defending champion Estados Unidos.


Nabunot ang mga Amerikano (Hilagang Amerika) sa Grupo A kasama ang Algeria (Aprika), Portugal (Europa) at Saudi Arabia (Gitnang Silangan).


Nasa Grupo ang Pilipinas, Brazil (Timog Amerika), Aotearoa New Zealand (Oceania) at Turkiye (Europa). Ang eGilas ay binubuo nina Clark Banzon, Prich Jayrald Diez, Isaiah Vincent Alindada, Kenneth Gutierrez at Julian Mallillin na lahat ay naglaro noong nakaraang taon sa Sweden.


Nais nilang higitan ang ika-apat na puwesto matapos matalo sa Turkiye. Lahat ng mga kalahok ay kinailangang dumaan na qualifier sa mga nakalipas na buwan sa kani-kanilang mga kontinente.


Maglalaro ng single round at ang dalawang pinakamataas sa bawat grupo ang tutuloy sa semifinals at finals sa Huwebes.


Tatanggap ang kampeon ng $20,000, $10,000 sa pangalawa, $6,000 sa pangatlo at $4,000 sa pang-apat.


Ang tatanghaling MVP at Defensive Player ay parehong bibigyan ng P2,500 habang may $1,000 ang bawat kasapi ng All-Star Five. Gagamitin sa torneo ang pinakabagong edisyon ng NBA 2K.

Namayagpag ang De La Salle University at University of Santo Tomas sa makasaysayang pagbubukas ng pinakaunang UAAP Esports Tournament Martes sa Ateneo de Manila University. Sumosyo ang mga nasabing paaralan sa maagang liderato sa parehong NBA 2K at Valorant na senyales sa magiging takbo ng torneo. 


Sumandal ang DLSU Viridis Arcus kay Kegan Audric Yap na winalis ang kanyang apat na laro upang manguna sa Grupo B ng NBA 2K. Sa Grupo A, nanatiling malinis si Eryx Daniel delos Reyes ng UST Teletigers sa apat na laro. 


Ang 8 paaralan ay may tig-isang kinatawan sa bawat grupo na maglalaro ng single round o 7 beses. Ang dalawang may pinakamataas na kartada ay tutuloy sa semifinals at finals na gaganapin ngayong Huwebes sa parehong lugar simula 10:00 ng umaga. 


Samantala sa Valorant, tinuldukan ng Viridis Arcus ang unang araw sa mainitang laban kontra matagal na karibal Ateneo Blue Eagles, 13-4 at 13-6, sa tampok na laro Grupo A.  Wagi ang FEU Tamaraws sa Adamson Falcons, 13-8 at 13-3, upang pormal na buksan ang kompetisyon.


Kinuha ng Teletigers ang liderato sa Grupo B sa bisa ng 13-6 at 13-9 tagumpay sa University of the East Zenith Warriors. Hindi nagpahuli ang University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons at pinaamo ang National University Bulldogs, 13-6 at 13-4. 


Magpapatuloy ang virtual barilan sa group stage ng Valorant ngayong araw.  Ang semifinals at finals ay gaganapin si Biyernes simula 10:00 ng umaga. 


Ang inaabangang Mobile Legends: Bang, Bang ay magsisimula sa Agosto 17 hanggang 21. Ang UAAP Season 87 Men’s Basketball Tournament ay magbubukas sa Setyembre 7 kung saan UP ang punong-abala at may temang “Stronger, Better, Together.”
