Bukas si Senator-Judge Alan Peter Cayetano sa planong imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kaugnay ng umano'y mga iregularidad sa infrastructure projects para sa 2019 SEA Games, na pinamunuan niya bilang chairman ng organizing committee.
“Binabawasan talaga kami, iniisa-isa,” ani Cayetano, kasabay ng pagsasabing handa siyang humarap sa imbestigasyon.
Nauna nang sinabi ni NBI Director Melvin Matibag na iimbestigahan nila ang umano'y bilyun-bilyong pisong “unliquidated,” kabilang ang pagbabayad sa isang pribadong kumpanya sa pamamagitan ng budget insertions.
"Go ahead and investigate [but] we have to make sure that the integrity of the court is intact," sabi ni Cayetano.
“I hope this issue of the integrity of the court becomes an issue to all of us,” wika pa niya.
