SM Supermalls, nagbukas ng mas maraming vax sites para sa mga menor-de-edad

Hello, Bulgarians! Muling nagmarka ng back-to-back milestone ang SM Supermalls sa kanilang hangarin na makatulong na wakasan ang COVID-19 sa Pilipinas: nalampasan ang limang-milyong marka ng COVID-19 jabs at ang pagbubukas ng mas maraming SM malls bilang pediatric vaccination sites sa labas ng Metro Manila.

“Breaching the five-millionth mark is a testament to our commitment to providing our communities with accessible and convenient vaccination sites. We thank our partner LGUs for this partnership are happy to provide our malls as pediatric vaccination centers for minors belonging to the 12-17 age group,” pahayag ni Steven Tan ng SM Supermalls President.

Sa pagbubukas ng seremonya ng Parañaque City LGU “Bida Rin ang Bata” vaccination center sa SM City Sucat noong Nobyembre 3, may kabuuang 588 kabataan ang nabigyan ng kanilang unang bakuna. Sa ngayon, nabakunahan ng SM Supermalls ang mahigit 6,00 pediatric constituents sa 15 pediatric mall vaccination sites.

Present sa panahon ng paglulunsad sina Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 Chief Implementer and Vaccine czar; Assistant Secretary Elmer Punzalan at Assistant Regional Director Aleli Sudiacial, Department of Health; Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez; Parañaque 1st District Rep. Eric Olivarez; IATF Assistant Regional Director Paz Corrales; Dra. Evangeline Labines, CESO V, School Division Superintendent; at Dra. Olga Virtusio, Head of Parañaque CHO.

Ibinahagi ni Mayor Olivarez na target nilang mabakunahan ang 70% ng kanilang pediatric constituents ngayong Nobyembre. “To win the war against COVID-19, we will be working hand-in-hand with our partners, including SM Supermalls, in getting to a pandemic free Parañaque,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang phased approach sa pagbabakuna ng A3 category ay nagsimula noong Oktubre 15, na inuuna ang mga menor-de-edad na may comorbidities. Binigyang-diin ng DOH na ang paglulunsad ng pagbabakuna sa mga bata at menor-de-edad ay kailangan upang matulungan ang bansa na makamit ang herd immunity.

“We heal as one,” sabi ni Dr. Aleli Sudiacal, Assistant Regional Director DOH-MMCHD.

“With the intensive rollout of the pediatric immunization in the country, we shall continue working together with the private sector and LGUs since we are now in the post-recovery stage.”

Ang SM Supermalls lamang ang mall venue partner habang inilunsad ng DOH ang ikalawang yugto ng pagbabakuna ng A3, simula sa SM Megamall noong Oktubre 21 at sa SM Sucat noong Nobyembre 3. Inaasahang magiging ligtas at maginhawang Pediatric Vaccination Center ang ilan pang SM Malls sa mga susunod na linggo.
