Sen. Dela Rosa, 'di isusuko sa ICC

Isinailalim sa Senate protective custody si Senator Bato Dela Rosa matapos ang mosyon ni Sen. Rodante Marcoleta sa gitna ng umano'y arrest warrant niya mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC) kahapon.

Ayon kay Marcoleta, layunin ng hakbang na maprotektahan si Dela Rosa habang inaayos at tinatapos nito ang legal na hakbang para sa kanyang depensa.

Samantala, ipinag-utos na i-cite in contempt ng Senado ang mga agent ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na sangkot sa panghahabol at pagharang kay Dela Rosa.

Ayon sa Senado, iimbestigahan nila ang mga nasabing agent kung sino ang nag-utos na pigilan si Dela Rosa na gawin ang trabaho nito bilang senador at hulihin ito kahit na mayroon itong parliamentary immunity.

"The John Doe's and Jane Doe's as identified individuals held in contempt. I am directing the Senate Sargent-at-Arms to put in Senate custody to the said individuals and to detain them in the Senate premises," ani SP Alan Peter Cayetano.

"If they need assistance, you're authorized to coordinate with the Pasay City PNP until such time that those held in contempt can purge themselves of contempt," dagdag pa niya.
