Pensioners na nagbayad ng loan noong April at May, ini-refund ng SSS

Hello, Bulgarians! Simula Disyembre 9, 2020, ni-refund na ng Social Security System (SSS) ang lahat ng April at May 2020 loan payments ng mga pensioner na humiram sa ilalim ng Pension Loan Program (PLP).


Ayon kay SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora Ignacio, ito ay may kabuuang P253,584,557.76 sa 56,750 pensioner-borrowers.


Dagdag pa ni Ignacio, ang mga entitled sa refund na ito ay mga pensioners na nabawasan ang pension noong April at May sa ilalim ng PLP at kasalukuyang nag-amortize sa implementation date.


Ipinaliwanag naman ni Ignacio na makatatanggang ng 2 buwang refund ang mga pensioner na nakapagbayad ng loan amortization noong April at May 2020. Ang mga nagbayad ng May ay isang buwan lamang ang mare-refund.


“We want to advise our pensioners that they no longer have to visit SSS to apply for the said refund. Starting December 9 and 10, we automatically credited the refunds to qualified pensioners through their respective Union Bank QuickCard savings accounts where the proceeds of their pension loans were also credited,” sabi ni Ignacio.


Bukod pa rito, sinabi rin ni Ignacio na extended ang loan payment term ng mga pensioners ng isa hanggang dalawang buwan ng walang additional interest o penalty. Ito ay extended hanggang June 2021.


Samantala, maaari namang mag-renew ng loan ang mga pensioners matapos ma-expired ang kanilang original loan payment term. Ngunit, ibababawas na ng SSS ang remaining balance mula sa una nitong loan.


Nagsimula ang PLP noong September 2018 upang matulungan ang mga retiree-pensioners sa kanilang short-term financial needs sa pmamagitan ng low-interest loan.


Mula January hanggang November 2020, nakapaglabas na ang SSS ng P3.17 bilyongworth ng pension loans para sa halos 69,813 pensioners.
