Nanawagan ng tulong para sa mga Odette victims…SIGAW NI SHARON: 'WAG UMASA SA GOBYERNO!

Sinamahan ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta ang kanyang mister na vice-presidentiable na si Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan sa paghahatid ng tulong sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng Bagyong Odette sa Visayas.

Siyempre pa, tuwang-tuwa ang ating mga kababayan na makita roon si Mega nang personal.

“Huwag n'yo pong kakalimutan, maraming pagsubok pero mahal tayong lahat ng Panginoon, hindi niya tayo pababayaan. Manalig tayo,” pahayag ni Mega sa video na nai-post ng ABS-CBN sa kanilang Twitter account.

Sa mismong Instagram account naman ni Sharon ay may video post siya sa sarili habang nakasakay sa kotse papunta sa location ng relief operation.

Simula pa lang ay nilinaw agad ni Sharon na sumama siya kay Sen. Kiko hindi para mangampanya.

“I came with Kiko not to campaign. We’re not wearing campaign colors today.

“I’m here to… we are later on going to distribute some help to some of the victims of typhoon Odette. I haven’t seen the areas, naturally, we are going (area), obviously not yet.

“But so far, we are in the middle of the city, and as the plane was landing kanina, running, I could see a lot of houses na walang bubong. So, I cannot imagine where we’re going at kung ano ang dadatnan namin. Although, we’ve seen pictures and video footage of a lot of these places,” lahad ni Mega.

Hindi napigilan ni Sharon ang ilabas ang lungkot na nararamdaman niya.

“It’s upsetting. I was telling nga kanina Krissy, my friend Krissy, I said, this is the first time in my life since I was 14 that I am in Cebu and I am not happy. I’m very sad. I’m very upset.

“If I’m feeling devastated, hindi ko ma-imagine kung ano ‘yung feeling nu’ng mga biktima ng bagyo.

“So, if you can send help not only to Cebu but also to those hit by the typhoon. So badly here in Visayas,” panawagan ni Sharon.

Nakadagdag pa ng lungkot kay Sharon sa sinapit ng mga nasalanta ng bagyo ay ang pagsapit ng Kapaskuhan.

“It’s December 23, tomorrow’s Christmas eve, and I cannot imagine how to tell our kababayan here to keep holding on to their faith with God because I know at this point it will be very difficult for them. It’s easier said than done. I’ve been through that myself.

“But my problems seem so insignificant. Everything that I’ve been through in my life seem insignificant compared to what the victims of this typhoon are going through right this minute. I cannot even imagine. So, please pray for them.”

Huwag daw tayong umasa lang sa gobyerno.

“Let’s not keep depending on government and I’m talking about any government. Every government before, present, future, let’s not keep depending on government.

“We have to reach out to one another because, we have to look after each other and take care of each other. It’s the right thing to do.”

Samantala, ibinalita ni Sharon na nakauwi na ng Pilipinas mula New York ang panganay nila ni Senator Kiko na si Frankie Pangilinan.

“I’m happy Frankie got home, and is out of quarantine now. She came home yesterday. Kasi I saw on the news, I think the other day or yesterday morning, that cases in New York have tripled only in one week. So that…tsk. Nanlambot ako, because our daughter was home and I was so thankful to God. So, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Keep safe,” say pa ni Mega.
