Diaz at Marcial, pinarangalan ng AFP

Binigyang-parangal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines sina Olympic gold medalists at service persons Staff Sergeant Hidilyn Diaz at bronze medalist Sergeant Eumir Marcial.

Ipinagkaloob kay Diaz ang Outstanding Achievement Medal with Second Bronze Anahaw Leaf dahil sa gintong medalya ng weightlifting sa 2020 Tokyo Olympics noong Hulyo 26 na kanyang naiuwi.

Mayroon din itong plaque of recognition, Philippine Flag at simple token mula sa military leadership. Iginawad naman kay Marcial ang Chief of Staff, AFP Commendation Medal and Ribbon nang maka-bronze medal sa middleweight division ng boxing.

Kinilala rin ng AFP ang pag-uwi ng medalya nina Nesthy Petecio at Carlo Paalam. “We hope that through this simple yet meaningful ceremony, we would be able to inspire our soldiers and civilian human resource, not only to be more active in sports, but also in the performance of their respective duties in protecting and securing the peace and stability of our country,” buong pagmamalaking pahayag ni Lieutenant General Gloria.
