Inilabas na ng Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory ngayong Miyerkules ang resulta ng kanilang findings sa pagkamatay ng flight attendant na si Christine Dacera at ito ay ‘natural causes’.
Nitong Enero 11, lumabas ang isang medico legal report mula sa PNP crime lab subalit ngayon lamang Miyerkules naisumite sa isang Makati prosecutor na sinasabing si Dacera ay namatay dahil sa isang ruptured aortic aneurysm na nag-trigger sa pagtaas ng kanyang blood pressure.
"Manner of death as homicide is ruled out in Dacera's case because the aortic aneurysm is considered a medical condition. Rape and/or drug overdose will not result to the development of aneurysms," nakasaad sa report ng PNP.
"Even overdose and ruptured aneurysm are two different conditions and cannot be both included as cause of death of patient," ayon sa report.
Isinumite ng PNP ang report ngayong araw sa Makati prosecutor na nag-iimbestiga sa reklamong rape with homicide laban sa mga companion ni Dacera bago pa ito namatay.
Matatandaang si Dacera ay namatay noong Enero 1 matapos ang New Year's Eve celebration kasama ang kanyang mga kaibigan.
Naniniwala ang kanyang pamilya na siya ay dinroga at sexually abused subali't itinanggi ito ng mga nakasama at sinasabing hindi nila ito sinaktan.
Ayon pa sa medico legal report, ang "dilatation or aneurysm" sa aorta ni Dacera ay tinawag na "chronic condition that started long time ago or maybe years prior to her death."
"No alcohol or recreational taken the night prior to her death will cause that kind of dilatation or defect on her aorta," nakasaad sa report.
"If she did not die that fateful night, she will still die in any scenario that presents an activity that will increase her blood pressure strong enough to tear that aneurysm."
Sakaling may droga o alcohol na ma-detect sa katawan ni Dacera, ayon sa report, ito ay maituturing na "incidental finding because even by their absence, rupture can occur if blood pressure shoots up from different strenuous physical activities."
"Vomiting or retching may also increase blood pressure and trigger the ruptured aneurysm," dagdag pa ng report.
Ang enlargement o paglaki ng puso ni Dacera, sabi pa ng report ay maaaring dahil sa kanyang chronic hypertension.
Gayunman, ang preliminary investigation ng Makati prosecutor ang siyang magdedetermina kung ang kaso ay dadalhin sa korte na ipagpapatuloy sa Pebrero 3.
