Nanindigan si Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III na handa ang Senado sa posibilidad ng impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte sakaling baliktarin ng Supreme Court (SC) ang desisyon nitong ‘unconstitutional’ ang impeachment complaint laban sa Bise Presidente.


“Personally, yes, the answer is in the affirmative,” ayon kay SP Sotto. Dagdag pa niya, “The Senate itself, yes. If the SC says they are reversing their decision, then we will move to reclaim the Articles of Impeachment from the archives.”


Matatandaang nagbotohan ang mga senador noong Agosto para ilipat sa archive ang articles of impeachment na isinampa laban kay VP Sara kasunod ng desisyon ng SC kung saan 19 ang bumoto ng Yes, 4 na No, at 1 nag-abstain.
