Matapos ang 25 taon magbabalik si volleyball icon Leila Barros sa Manila bilang guest of honor sa final ng 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship sa Set. 28 sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
Lubos na hinangaan ang kaliweteng spiker na si Barros ng Filipino fans noong 2000 FIVB Grand Prix at aniya excited siyang makasama muli ang Pinoy crowd. Kinumpirma niya ang pagdating via Instagram post matapos ianunsiyo noong Biyernes ng gabi ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) ang pagbabalik niya sa bansa.
“What a joy it will be to reconnect with these passionate volleyball fans,” ani Barros. “See you soon!”
“It is with a heart full of gratitude that I receive this very special invitation. Returning to the Philippines, where I have always been welcomed with such warmth, is incredibly exciting,” ani Barros, ngayon ay 53-anyos na at isa nang Senadora sa Brazil.

Sa mensahe ni PNVF President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, ang pagbabalik ng three-time Olympian (1996, 2000, 2004) ay isang regalo sa milyong Filipino volleyball fans. “She captured the hearts of many Filipinos during her 2000 visit. Now, Leila Barros returns not only to wow the fans but also to inspire them as a distinguished public role model. She is now an elected public official in Brazil,” ani Suzara. “Every Filipino can’t wait to see her. Everyone is excited.”
