Muling pinagtibay ng United States (US) ang pakikipag-alyansa sa Pilipinas sa kabila ng nangyayaring kaguluhan sa Middle East na dulot ng US-Israel kontra sa Iran, ayon kay Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner, Jr.

Aniya, magkausap umano sila ng kanyang counterpart na si Admiral Samuel Paparo, na commander ng US Indo-Pacific Command noong nagsisimula pa lamang ang gulo sa Middle East at tiniyak nito na mananatiling malakas ang commitment ng US sa bansa.

“He assured me that despite the conflict happening now in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world, the commitment of the US is still strong, and that this year’s Balikatan exercise will be, in his own words, the biggest ever,” saad pa ni Brawner.
