Hello, Bulgarians! Ginanap kamakailan sa PCSO Main Office ang inagurasyon ng bagong renovate na Games Hub na inilaan upang maipakita ang kanilang mga produktong gaming at magsisilbing outlet kung saan mabibili ang mga ticket at maaaring makuha ang mga premyo.
Nagkaroon din ng press briefing matapos ang inagurasyon kung saan nai-update ni PCSO Vice-Chairperson at General Manager Royina M. Garma ang media sa mga nagawa ng ahensiya sa nakaraang taon.
PCSO was able to provide more than Php2.85-B to the concerted effort of the Duterte administration in providing immediate essential supplies to the stricken families whose incomes were cut or to those who have fallen ill of COVID-19 and other sickness even when the office had its income generation capability on hiatus. “Alam n’yo naman po na ang PCSO ay income self-generating at hindi po kami kumukuha ng funds sa National Budget.” Pahayag ni GM Garma.
Inihayag ni GM Garma na sa pagtatapos ng 2020 nagawa ng PCSO na makabuo ng P18.63-B mula sa “mga larong may puso”. Partikular, ang Lotto, Digit Games, STL, Keno at Instant Sweepstakes. Bukod dito, natupad din ng PCSO ang komitment sa mga LGU na may matatanggap na bahagi mula sa kabuuang sales.
Mahigit sa Php211-M ang inirelease sa iba’t ibang LGUs at GO’s noong Disyembre 2020. Ang nangungunang tatlong LGU ay lungsod ng Maynila na tumanggap ng Php7.4-M, Caloocan City Php3.8-M at ang Lungsod ng Quezon Php12.5-M. Ang PCSO ay nagbigay din ng mahigit Php1.6-M para sa buwan ng Marso at Setyembre sa National Bureau of Investigation at nasa Php122-T para sa Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas para sa buwan ng Setyembre, 2020.
Mula sa kabuuang Php18.631-B, nagbigay ang ahensiya ng Php1.8-B para sa Medical Access Program na nakatuon sa Chemotherapy, Dialysis, Hospitalization, Hemophilia at Post-operation treatment, Php524.4-M para sa Calamity Assistance Program na biktima ng pagsabog ng Taal Volcano at bagyong Quinta, Rolly at Ulysses, kasama rin dito ang mga biktima ng COVID-19. Maging ang donasyon na Patient Transport Vehicle na halagang Php387.5M at Php70-M medical equipment.

Considering that the vaccine is already available in other countries with a handful in the Philippines, and it may still take a while before the entire population is vaccinated, the PCSO shall not rest in providing essential health and medical necessities to our countrymen especially for the indigent Pinoys.
