Umakyat na sa 67 ang bilang ng mga nasawi sa bansa dahil sa Bagyong Ulysses, ayon sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Mula umano sa Cagayan Valley ang 22 sa mga nasawi, 3 naman ang mula sa Central Luzon, 17 sa Calabarzon, 8 sa Bicol Province, 10 sa Cordillera Administrative Region, at ang iba pa at mula sa Metro Manila.
Ayon sa tala ng NDRRMC, 21 ang sugatan at 12 ang nawawala. Samantala, tinatayang aabot sa P1.19 billion agricultural losses at P270 million infrastructure damages ang idinulot ng pananalasa ng Bagyong Ulysses sa bansa, ayon kay Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.
Pahayag naman ni NDRRMC Spokesperson Mark Timbal, "NDRRMC is working closely with all member-agencies. There is no discrepancy in the figures. The figures provided by the good DPWH is their agency's estimate of the possible damages to infrastructure incurred in all affected areas.
"The figures that NDRRMC reports po are the actual computed damages as reported by the NDRRMCs from their ongoing damage assessment.”
