P21 M sa first day… MAID IN M'CAÑANG, KUMITA NG P63 M SA 3 DAYS LANG

May mga bumabatikos din pala sa MTRCB dahil sa pagbibigay ng PG o Parental Guidance sa Viva Films movie na Maid in Malacañang kaya naglabas ng statement ang MTRCB tungkol dito.

“The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board confirms that it has reviewed the motion picture, Maid in Malacañang, and has given it a Parental Guidance (PG) classification.

"A PG classification means that a motion picture may contain themes that require parental supervision and guidance. We also note that the said motion picture is a dramatization of the last seventy-two hours of the Marcos family in the Palace in 1986 and does not purport to be documentary.

"While the PG rating serves to guide viewers, and was assigned by the Board based on its own judgment applying contemporary Filipino cultural values as standard, parents are encouraged to conduct their own assessment and use their best judgment to guide their children’s viewing activities.”

Nakapirma rito si Diorella Maria Sotto-Antonio, ang chairperson ng MTRCB.

Samantala, mas tumaas pa ang box-office gross ng movie sa third day showing nito kesa sa opening day na P21 M dahil P22 M ang third day gross nito, kaya may P63 M gross na ang controversial movie.

Ibinalita rin ng Viva Films na magkakaroon ng premiere night sa London ang Maid in Malacañang. Pupunta rin sina Sen. Imee Marcos, Cristine Reyes at Director Darryl Yap sa Dubai at kagagaling lang ng cast sa Davao para sa red carpet premiere at mediacon.
