MMDA, join sa pag-aresto kay Bato — Torre

Posibleng tumulong ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa paghuli kay Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa kung nasa hurisdiksyon ng ahensya, ayon kay MMDA General Manager Usec. Nicolas Torre III.

“Basta MMDA area, nand’yan sa kalsada, sa ilalim ng kanal, sa imburnal, o ‘yan, puwede,” ani Torre.

Binigyang-diin ni Torre na ang MMDA ay maaaring tumulong kung nasa lugar o hurisdiksyon ng ahensya dahil ito aniya, ay “whole of government approach” at maging sa ibang lugar na may ibang office of primary responsibility ay maaari rin.

Sabi ni Torre, trabaho ng law enforcers na ipatupad ang legal na proseso at warrants kahit sino pang personalidad ang sangkot at hindi maaaring mamili kung ano ang ipatutupad.

“Ang pagtingin ko d’yan, institutional ‘yan e..  It’s not about a person, it’s not about me, it’s not about Senator Bato. It is about a process, it is about a system, it is about a law, and it is about a job,” ani Torre.

“The job of the police is not to judge the case, but to implement the processes, and in this case, the warrant… So they have to do it, protect the process, let it roll in its natural course,” dagdag pa ni Torre.
