Inaasahang papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Martes, Oktubre 20, ang Super Typhoon Champi, na tatawaging Rosal, ayon sa PAGASA.
Alas-5 ng umaga sa bulletin nitong Linggo, Oktubre 18, namataan ang bagyo sa layong 2,230 kilometro silangan ng timog-silangang Luzon, taglay ang hanging 185 kilometro kada oras at pagbugsong 230 kilometro kada oras.
Kumikilos ang bagyo pahilagang-kanluran sa bilis na 25 kilometro kada oras at inaasahang unti-unting hihina pagsapit ng Miyerkules.
Posibleng magtaas ng tropical cyclone wind signals sa ilang bahagi ng Hilagang Luzon at Bicol Region sa Lunes ng gabi o Martes ng umaga. Inaasahan din ang malalakas na pag-ulan sa pinakahilagang Luzon.
