Patay matapos umanong tumalon sa gusali ang 2019 Miss USA na si Cheslie Kryst sa New York City. Bago umano ito tumalon, nag-post pa ito sa kanyang Instagram account na ng kanyang larawan na may caption na: “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
Ayon sa New York Police District (NYPD) nakatanggap sila ng tawag sa insidente ng pagtalon umano ng biktima sa 60-story Orion building sa 350 W. 42nd St. bandang 7:15 a.m.
Sinasabing naninirahan sa ika-siyam na palapag ng nasabing dating beauty queen. Nag-iwan din ito ng sulat na nagsasabing “leave everything to my mom”. “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie,” pahayag ng pamilya ng beauty queen.
“Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.
“Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on EXTRA,” pahayag pa ng kanyang pamilya.
“But most importantly as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague — we know her impact will live on.” Si Cheslie ay mula sa North Carolina at isang abogado noong makuha ang korona ng Miss USA.
