Kahit walang taon nang namamayapa ang kanyang inang si Elaine Cuneta ay ramdam na ramdam pa rin ni Sharon Cuneta ang pangungulila.

Ginunita ni Shawie ang 8th death anniversary ng ina last Nov. 5 at nagbalik-tanaw sa panahong buhay pa ang mga magulang.

Ang ama niyang si dating Pasay Mayor Pablo Cuneta ay matatandaang pumanaw naman noong taong 2000.

“Eight years ago today, my Mommy passed… I miss you, my Mommy. I miss being a daughter to you and Daddy…I think of you more often nowadays…

“The kids and I exchange stories about you and more often than not, we end up laughing. I so miss your voice, your laugh, the way you would tell us stories and make us all almost roll on the floor, laughing. I miss cooking with you, watching TV with you - I just miss everything about YOU,” pahayag ni Sharon.

Tinanong din niya ang mga magulang kung bakit hindi siya ‘dinadalaw’ at aniya ay hindi naman siya natatakot kung sakali mang magpakita sa kanya.

“Why haven’t you or Daddy ever ‘visited’ me? You know I won’t get scared. I have dreamt about you several times though - more often than Daddy - and you were always so beautiful in my dreams as you were when you were still with us…” sey ni Shawie.

“I love you and appreciate you more than ever…I miss you comforting and reassuring me…I miss you at movie premieres and concerts where I always wish you were still present, proudly watching me…I love you and will love you forever…Will see you again someday, Mommy,” pagtatapos ni Sharon.
