Inaresto ng Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department si dating UFC Light-heavyweight champion at best pound-for-pound fighter na si Jon “Bones” Jones dahil sa iba’t ibang kaso na isinampa rito nitong Biyernes ng umaga sa Las Vegas, Nevada.


Kinasuhan ang 34-anyos na heavyweight challenger sa mga kasong ‘battery domestic violence’ at ‘injuring and tampering with a vehicle’ at felony ni Officer Larry Hadfield ng Las Vegas Metro PD. Kasalukuyan siyang nakakulong sa Clark County Detention Center, habang mayroon siyang kabuuang bail na $8,000 ($5,000 sa tampering with vehicle at $3,000 para sa domestic battery). Ngunit naka-detine si Jones sa isang 12-hour hold at humarap siya kahapon ng tanghali sa Las Vegas Justice Court sa Sabado.


Sinabi ni Hadfield sa ESPN na inaresto si Jones nitong Biyernes ng alas-5:45 ng umaga sa isang resort malapit sa Las Vegas Boulevard at Flamingo Road.


Ito ang isa sa panibagong serye ng mga kasong kinaharap ng tubong Rochester, New York na may mga kaso na ng hit-and-run, driving under the influence at negligent use of firearm at iba pang mga kaso. Nahubaran ito ng korona ng UFC dahil sa paglabag sa Athlete Code of Conduct policy matapos ang hit-and-run noong Abril 2015 sa Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ilang beses din itong bumagsak sa mga drug testing dahil sa paggamit ng mga banned substance na naging dahilan ng mga suspensyon at pagkatanggal ng korona.
