Eto ang tweet ni Josh 10 years ago, “Interesting fact: you’re a faggot.”
I just want to sincerely apologize if my tweet last night caused any confusion or tension, especially to those affected. It was never my intention to bring discomfort or heavy energy.
“Yes, I’ve been reading your tweets. The timing was off, and I admit the way I explained things wasn’t the best. Akin 'yun... It was never meant to come off the wrong way. I’ll keep learning, and evolving from moments like this. I promise. And I’ll never be ashamed to say ‘SORRY’ if I feel I’ve done something off or brought negativity to those who weren’t part of it (praying hands emoji).
“I won’t make this long. I just want to spread positivity before anything else. Thank you for all your efforts. I see it, I appreciate it, and I’ll never invalidate that.
“I hope I’m not too late to join the celebration for our successful US tour! I'm grateful to everyone who attended!
“Sana rin I made you smile, and I’ll always try to do my best to bring smiles to everyone (heart on fire emoji). Thank you for always being there.
“P.S. Don’t worry, wish ko rin sa sarili ko na. Hopefully this will be the last time I’ll need to use X for things like this.”
Some people noticed that my thoughts were all over the place… and honestly, I couldn’t quite piece together or articulate the words I really wanted to say. I was trying to be careful, careful not to be misunderstood, and not to say anything that might be taken out of context,” lahad ni Josh sa X.
At the same time, humingi rin ng pang-unawa si Josh sa kanyang nai-tweet ten years
ago.
“That said, I just want to ask for a bit of understanding. I hope we can avoid making negative comments about the people who genuinely care for me. Whether it’s family, friends, or anyone close to me, these people have been a big part of my strength and growth, just like many of you.
“Not everything is visible online. And sometimes, the way things are presented can lead people to believe something that isn’t fully true. There has been a lot of false or misleading information out there… not because people twisted it on purpose, but because that’s how it was fed or framed.
“Let’s not drag them into things they had nothing to do with. It’s not always about me, or them,” esplika pa niya.
Marami raw magagandang bagay ang nangyayari whether it’s for us or for others.
“I know your opinions come from a place of care, and I respect that. But if that concern unintentionally affects the people around me, it hurts me as well (frowning face emoji).
“I know you’ve always been understanding, and I trust that this message won’t be misunderstood. I just wanted to share this with honesty and calm (praying hands emoji). Thank you again, everyone.
Love y’all (heart on fire emoji),” sabi pa ni Josh.
