Inisnab ni Moira Dela Torre ang ginanap na 13th Star Awards for Music kung saan nanalo siya for Album of the Year and Song of the Year award.
Nanalo si Moira ng Album of the Year for Patawad by Star Music, gayundin ang Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year for her massive hit Paubaya co-written with her ex-husband Jason Hernandez.
Bukod pa d’yan, winner din si Moira ng Female Recording Artist of the Year. And yet, she was not around — or kahit representative man lang — to personally accept her awards.
Two of the loveliest couples that night ay ang mag-asawang Ogie at Regine Velasquez-Alcasid at ang six years nang magdyowa na sina Concert King Martin Nievera and Anj del Rosario.
Naka-tie ni Ogie si Daniel Padilla for Best Male Concert Performer of the Year. Panalo si Daniel para sa Apollo concert niya and Alcasid for A-Team and Frontrow International's Kilabotitos.
Nanalo rin si Ogie with Moira para sa awitin nilang Beautiful as Collaboration of the Year, habang si Regine naman ang tinanghal na Best Female Concert Performer for Viva Live's Unified. Siya rin ang napili bilang AQ Music Royalty with matching P20K na cash prize.
Si Martin ang pinarangalan bilang Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement awardee. Say ni Martin, sakto ang pagbibigay ng award sa kanya. Una, dahil si Pilita raw talaga ang unang nagbigay ng break sa kanya sa music industry. Pangalawa, very timely dahil this year ay ipinagdiriwang niya ang kanyang 40th anniversary sa showbiz.
Martin is hoping na madoble ang apat na dekada niya sa showbiz. So, bahala na raw ang kanyang girlfriend na si Anj on how to take care of him para umabot ng 80 years old at higit pa.
Saglit naming nakausap si Martin sa backstage at kinumpirma niya ang kanyang 40th anniversary concert sa The Theater@Solaire on November 19.
Aalis muna ng bansa si Martin before October 23 para i-celebrate ang birthday ng kanyang anak sa US. Then, kasama rin siya sa concert ng A.S.A.P. Natin 'To sa Las Vegas.
At saka siya babalik ng 'Pinas on November 5.
Samantala, si Kim Chiu ang winner ng Best Novelty Song and Performer para sa kanta niya na Bawal Lumabas.
Pero gaya ni Moira, waley din si Kim sa awards night.
