Ice, naglitanya sa socmed… LIZA, BINULAGA NG M'CANANG, PINALITAN SA FDCP NANG WALANG KAALAM-ALAM

Nabulaga si Film Development Council of the Phils. Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño-Seguerra na pinalitan na siya ng veteran actor na si Tirso Cruz III bilang bagong hepe ng ahensiya.

Wala kasing abiso mula sa Malacañang na hindi na siya ang pinuno ng FDCP, base na rin sa kanyang ipinost na video message sa kanyang Facebook account nitong Martes nang hatinggabi.

Aniya, “Hi everyone, I’m still at the office. I just want to let you know the agency also read the latest development regarding the chairmanship of the FDCP online and while we haven’t received any official communication from the office of the President.”

Nabanggit na rin ni Ms. Liza na magkakaroon ng smooth process turnover para sa bagong pinuno ng ahensiya.

Pagpapatuloy nito, “We are preparing for a smooth process and turnover ng FDCP to our new chair. And we will welcome him pagdating niya rito.

“And I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone sa lahat ng suporta ninyo, sa lahat ng messages ninyo. Thank you so much for your love and support.”

Samantala, kaagad ding nag-post ng pagsuporta ang better-half ni Ms. Liza na si Ice Seguerra sa kanyang Facebook account.

Sabi ni Ice, “No matter how much you plan or prepare for the future, may mga puwedeng mangyari that will totally change the course of your life.

“We're still processing things because we just found out through social media about Liza being replaced as FDCP Chair. Though her term is still good for another 3 years, we respect the decision of the president.

“As someone who has been in the sidelines as my wife's cheerleader, shock absorber, assistant, and over-all supporter, I have witnessed many ups and downs during her term as chairperson.

“Pumasok si Liza sa trabaho na 'to na halos walang naniniwala sa kakayanan niyang mamuno.

“Sino ba siya at ano'ng magagawa niya? Mas marami namang karapat-dapat, bakit siya ‘yung inilagay diyan?

“Maraming skeptical sa simula pero kahit ganu'n, my wife used it to fan her passion to serve. Inalam niya lahat ng puwedeng malaman sa industriya natin, from cultivating an idea and developing it into a story, archiving, and everything in between.

“She went to different regions to empower our filmmakers dahil ang kuwento ng Pilipinas ay hindi dapat manggaling lang sa Metro Manila.

“She democratized access to development programs, grants financial support para masiguradong hindi lamang iilan ang makikinabang.

“Partnered with different international festivals to make sure we always have a platform to showcase the works of our amazing filmmakers.

“Ayuda sa pandemya, vaccinations para sa industriya...

“Pero para sa akin, ang pinakaimportanteng legacy na iiwanan niya ay ang pagsulong ng karapatan at proteksiyon ng audiovisual workers.

“Marami nang nagawa but marami pang kailangang gawin.

“Though Liza's term has come to an end, I have full trust in the capacity of the FDCP staff to continue all the programs that my wife has envisioned for all of us.”

Binati rin ng singer/songwriter si Ginoong Tirso Cruz III bilang bagong hepe ng Film Development Council of the Philippines.

Pinasalamatan din ni Ice ang lahat ng tumulong at sumuporta kay Liza sa anim na taon nitong pinuno ng FDCP para maging maayos at mabuo ang lahat ng mga proyektong isinulong nito sa movie at television industry na dahilan din kaya kaliwa’t kanan ang mga imbitasyon mula sa iba’t ibang bansa.

Kaalinsabay nito, muli nilang kakaharapin ang bago nilang pamumuhay bilang pribadong citizen.

Isa kami sa mga nalungkot na hindi na natapos ni Chair Liza ang tatlong taong extension na iginawad sa kanya ni ex-President Rodrigo Duterte bago siya bumaba sa puwesto.

Pero saan man makarating at dalhin ng tadhana si Chair Liza, laging buo ang suporta namin sa kanya.
