Harmful online content, nagkalat... Mark Zuckerberg, ipinatatawag ng Kamara

Ipinatatawag ng Kamara si Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg para dumalo sa pagdinig kaugnay ng social media safety, ayon sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Tatalakayin sa hearing ang pagkalat ng harmful online content, platform accountability, at mga hakbang para mapalakas ang online safety ng Filipino users. Pinapaharap din dito ang DICT.

"DICT fully understands and takes heed of the position of the House of Representatives leadership regarding the deferment of the Department’s budget pending the resolution of

serious and long-standing concerns involving Meta," saad ng DICT.

"Unlike other technology platforms that have demonstrated meaningful cooperation with authorities and concrete progress in safeguarding users, Meta continues to fall short of its responsibility and commitment to youth safety," dagdag ng ahensya.
