"DICT fully understands and takes heed of the position of the House of Representatives leadership regarding the deferment of the Department’s budget pending the resolution of

serious and long-standing concerns involving Meta," saad ng DICT.

"Unlike other technology platforms that have demonstrated meaningful cooperation with authorities and concrete progress in safeguarding users, Meta continues to fall short of its responsibility and commitment to youth safety," dagdag ng ahensya.

“We've learned a lot from struggling with social issues and living under closed platforms, and now it is time to take everything that we've learned and help build the next chapter," ani Zuckerberg sa annual developers conference.

"I am proud to announce that starting today, our company is now Meta. Our mission remains the same, still about bringing people together, our apps and their brands, they're not changing," dagdag niya.

“We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products," sabi ng Facebook sa Twitter. "We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."

Ayon pa sa tweet ng Facebook, “To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we're sorry.” "We've been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us."
