Hardwork at pagsisikap ang susi ng tagumpay ng Bolts

Sa eksklusibong panayam sa tapat ng malaking Black Nazarene sa Smart Araneta Coliseum, sinabi ni coach Luigi Trillo na ang tagumpay ng Meralco Bolts sa Philippine Cup ay dala ng hardwork, burning desire, aspiration at determination ng kanyang mga players para masungkit ang unang korona sa PBA matapos ang 10 taon na paghihintay  at sa wakas nagkaroon katuparan sa taong gagawin ang 33rd Olympic Games sa Paris.

“We could not achieve the ultimate goal we are longing for. My players labored hard, worked hard and sacrificed a lot for three months for just one cause win the crown. Finally, the achieved the ultimate dream. I praised them for a job well done,” sabi ni Trillo kasama ang kanyang mga anak na tumulong at dumamay sa kanya habang nakikipaglaban siya sa 11 coach sa hardcourt. “Rock solid defense and torrid offensive did it for us. We limit the points production of June Mar Fajardo and limited him to measly 4 points in the 4th period,” wika ni Trillo.

Ang hindi nagawa ni coach Norman Black sa loob nang 13 taon ay nagawa ni Trillo at kabilang na ang 48 years old Meralco bench tactician sa elite club of “champions coach” at pang-anim na coach sa kampo ni sportsman/businessman Manny V. Pangilinan na nanalo sa PBA kasama sina Norman Black, Chot Reyes, Joel Banal, Perry Ronquillo at Jojo Lastimosa.

Hindi lang nanalo sa PBA Philippine Cup, ang tagumpay ay fitting advance birthday gift sa kanyang ika-49th birthday sa Hulyo 18. “Now, the Philippine Cup is over and we won the crown, panahon na pagtuunang pansin at sapat na atensiyon ang aming mga pamilya at mga anak. We’ll go somewhere and have fun with our loveones,” aniya. 

“This is sweetest. All of us worked really hard, played really hard, and consolidated our efforts to win our first ever PBA crown and finally we achieved it,” sabi ng 33-years old na si Newsome na isinilang sa California at nagtapos ng Communications sa Ateneo.
