GAB, tinuluyan na ang game fixers

Hinatulan ng Games and Amusement Board (GAB) ang 29 na sangkot sa ‘alleged game fixing’ at pag-uugaling hindi tama noong 1st conference ng Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas Vis-Min Super Cup Visayas division sa Cebu sa pagitan ng ARQ Builders Lapu-Lapu City at Siquijor Mystics.

Sinampahan na ng GAB ng administrative cases, kasama ang suspensyon, dismissal ng kaso at pagbawi ng lisensya sa mga manlalaro, coaches at team owners matapos ang imbestigasyon at pagpapasa ng mga kaukulang dokumento at mga ebidensya, gayundin ang panig ng mga nasasangkot sa kontrobersiya noong Abril 15 sa elims game sa Alcantara Civic Center sa Cebu.

“We already filed administrative cases against the Vis-Min Cup Players, coaches and owners who figured in alleged game fixing and conduct unbecoming in the game in Cebu. As a result of the incident, the pro sports division report to the board the results and we instituted a Motu Propio complaint against 29 individuals involving 8 ARQ players, 4 ARQ coaches, 2 ARQ owners, 13 Siquijor players and 2 Siquijor coaches,” pahayag ni GAB Legal division head Atty. Ermer Benitez sa monthly virtual press conference ng ahensya noong Biyernes.

Pinatawan ng ‘revocation of license’ ang 9 na manlalaro ng Siquijor at isang coach.

Nakatanggap naman ng 6-months suspension ang Lapu-Lapu City players at coach habang may 3-months suspension ang 5 pa. Na-dismiss naman ang kaso ng ARQ team owners gayundin ang miyembro ng coaching staffs.

Ganito rin ang kinalabasan ng ibang miyembro ng Siquijor.

Rerespetuhin naman umano ng pamunuan ng Vis-Min Super Cup ang naging desisyon ng GAB. “Yes! The league would abide and respect kung ano man ang decision ng GAB out of their own investigation.

This serves as a warning to everyone that GAB and vismin is serious in curving those players and individuals that are disrespecting the sports we love,” paliwanag ni Vis-Min Super Cup Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rocky Chan sa mensahe nito sa Bulgar Sports.
