Itinuturing na pangunahing men’s professional basketball league worldwide at isang prominenteng organisasyon ang National Basketball Association (NBA) na may 30 professional basketball teams sa North America.

Nakabuo ang NBA ng malawak na social media presence at ngayo’y may pinakamaraming followers, partikular sa Facebook, base sa 7-day research study ng Capstone-Intel Corporation dahil na rin sa pagiging well-respected at globally renowned sports brand.

Ang Capstone-Intel ay isang “high impact research company which uses innovative research technologies, tools and methods to convert data and information into breakthrough insights and actionable intelligence outputs.”

Makapagbigay ng komprehensibong pang-unawa sa fan behavior sa sports industry gamit ang Facebook bilang platform for analysis ang target ng research na isinagawa noong Mayo 16 hanggang 22, 2023.

Sa NBA Finals, nangunguna ang highest-ranking teams na inantabayanan ng general public, kabilang ang Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, at Miami Heat. Base sa Facebook data mula sa Pilipinas ang pagsubaybay sa teams, gamit ang keyword analysis ng basketball team names upang masukat ang Facebook performance.

Napatunayan ang malaking interes ng mga Pilipino sa basketball bilang primary sport sa bansa kaya patuloy pang pagdami ng mga tumatangkilik dito.

Nagsagawa rin ng sentiment analysis base sa reactions, channels/influencers, at word clouds upang matukoy ang popularidad ng teams.

Gumamit ng graphical elements kabilang ang charts at graphs, upang maipresenta at maanalisa ang numerical data, functions at qualitative structures “in a visually concise and clear manner,” upang maintindihan ng publiko kung bakit usap-usapan ang 2023 NBA Finals.
