Ipinagdiriwang ng simbahang Katoliko ang Easter Sunday sa pamamagitan ng online mass ngayong araw, Abril 4.
Matatandaang kabilang ang religious gatherings sa mga ipinagbawal sa ilalim ng ipinatupad na bagong guidelines ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) dahil sa pagtaas ng COVID-19, partikular na sa NCR Plus Bubble, kung nasaan ang Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite at Rizal.
Gayunman, may ilan pa ring deboto ang taimtim na nagdarasal sa labas ng simbahan, habang patuloy na sinusunod ang health protocols katulad ng social distancing at pagsusuot ng face shield at face mask.
Kabilang si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa nagpaabot ng mensahe patungkol sa Linggo ng Pagkabuhay.
Aniya, "As we collectively strive to overcome the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, I trust that the promise of salvation will inspire us to look ahead for new beginnings and move forward with stronger faith and compassion for others.
