“I’m a proud brother of a very loving, kind hearted, and always smiling Kuya Marcus and I will always be proud of him,” aniya.
“I know medyo late na po ako sa usapin na ‘to, but I just want to share something close to my heart,” patuloy niya.
“I admit whenever I hear jokes about people on the autism spectrum most of the time I just stay silent. Pero ngayon I realized po that we should never allow these kinds of jokes to become normal. Sana po, maging mas mindful tayo. Their differences should never be turned into jokes or content just for entertainment.
“I’m not usually vocal when it comes to myself, pero pagdating po sa pamilya ko po, ‘di ko kayang manahimik,” saad ng aktor.
Pagtatanggol niya sa kapatid, “Some people may think they don’t contribute much to their families. Pero sa totoo lang po, sometimes they give more than we could ever imagine, even more than what we expect from any family member. And I can proudly say that because we have Kuya Marcus in our family.
“Kuya Marcus is the heart of our family. He has taught us patience, understanding, and most importantly, unconditional love.
“‘Di po sila katatawanan. They have feelings, they have beautiful hearts, and they deserve the same love, respect, and understanding as everyone else.
“Sana po, before we make jokes or turn something into content, isipin natin na may pamilyang nagmamahal, nag-aalaga, at handang ipaglaban sila.”
Pakiusap pa niya, “Let’s stop normalizing jokes at the expense of others. What may be entertainment to some is someone’s loved one, someone’s family, and someone’s whole world.”
At ang mensahe ng aktor sa kapatid, “I love you, Kuya Marcus. Kuya will protect you kahit buhay ko pa ang kapalit. I’m forever proud and grateful to be your brother.”
“‘Yung mga comedian ngayon, they try to push the envelope, but there are jokes na ‘di mo na dapat sabihin because ‘di s’ya joke. Below the belt s’ya, offensive s’ya,” pahayag ng award-winning TV host.
“Because your words affect and your words have a ripple effect, especially on a platform like a podcast,” paliwanag niya.
“Dapat alam mo kung ano ‘yung puwede mong i-joke at alam mo ‘yung hindi. Definitely this one, they definitely crossed the line,” mariing pahayag ni Valerie.
“We all know naman that Ms. Kris has some health issues so I don’t know if she would prefer to do that,” tugon niya.
But, at the same time, if you don’t file a case, how will people learn?”
“It’s really up to Ms. Kris to decide if she wants to file a case. If she does, I think the people will definitely support her. If she doesn’t, I think the people will understand as well. But whether she files the case or not, the people are behind her,” paliwanag niya.
