Nagkuwento na sa unang pagkakataon si Alice Dixson tungkol sa kanyang only daughter na si Aura sa latest vlog ni Dra. Vicki Belo sa YouTube channel ng sikat na beauty surgeon.

Panimula ni Alice kay Dra. Vicki, “I haven’t even talked about it. You’re the first person I’m actually really talking about it, the experience too.”

Gaya ng unica hija nina Dra. Belo at Hayden Kho na si Scarlet Snow, dumaan din sa proseso ng surrogacy ang anak ni Alice sa kanyang French husband.

Fifty-one years old na raw si Alice when she decided to have her own baby thru surrogacy. It took her two years bago niya ikinuwento sa public ang journey niya sa pagkakaroon ng baby.

Hindi raw kasi siya komportable dati na pag-usapan ang tungkol kay Aura.

“Siguro dahil bago,” sambit ni Alicce. “There was a lot of interest and I was like flooded with a lot of people wanting to talk about it. So parang… because my partner is so non-showbiz, he doesn’t like to be in front of the camera. Same thing goes with Aura. So, I have to be very, very careful when it comes to talking about her and I know that you wanted an exclusive at that time.”

Matagal na raw gustong magkaroon ng anak ni Alice.

“This process was almost ten years nga in the making. Kasi ikaw, I don’t know if you remember you were telling me, ‘Oh, you try our doctor because, you know, you don’t have a lot of time.' And at that time, I was like twiddling my thumbs pa doing my own thing. And then it came to a point where you know, I’m gonna be turning 50 soon.

“Actually, I was in my late 40s na and I’m like hindi pa ako, hindi pa kami nakakabuo. So, okay, let’s try Vicki’s doctor. Hayan.

“So, we went to Doctor Kaufmann and ayun. In like, say, during pandemic? This is how I found out. I’m coming home taping from a TV show, Legal Wives. We completed principal photography on February 14, talagang Valentine’s. And then, the next day I was at home na just trying to unwind na when I received a call na, ‘Oh, your surrogate’s water broke.’ And I’m, ‘Ohhh-wah!’

“This was at the height of pandemic na you couldn’t get flights. There was still quarantine.

And so, I didn’t know how I was gonna make it. Like, I have to do all of these things rush-rush 'coz she was two months premature. So, I was not prepared at all. I mean, I knew what I was going to do but none of the arrangements had happened, right?

“So, ayun, I was able to book a flight. I went there. I quarantined for about seven to ten days (in the US) before I actually went into the hospital to see her.

“And then, when I saw her, she was you know, like a premature baby. She was very frail like she looks like a little bird. I was like, ‘Is she really my daughter?’ And then, as she grew, she just turned out such a lovely child. She’s so healthy now. You would haven’t… there’s no sign of her being premature at all and the other thing was getting her back home.

“Kasi, height pa rin ng pandemic ‘yun, eh. I couldn’t even come in. We had trouble coming in to the country because I’m not a Filipino citizen. So, at that time you could only come in if Filipino (citizen), blah-blah-blah-blah.

"Anyway, we did get in with God’s, yeah, you helped me pray and with everybody’s help, we were able to come back to the country,” pagdedetalye ni Alice.

As a first-time mom, na-realize ni Alice na napakahirap pala na maging isang ina.

“Well, lalo na at my age. When you’re more mature and ready for a child, it’s like mahaba ang pasensiya mo. You’re loving every minute of the experience. But there’s a part of running around which is kinda hard. This is the best role of my life. Sa lahat ng roles na nai-portray ko, this is the one I cherish the most,” diin niya.

Pinakamahirap daw na parte sa kanyang journey of having her own child via surrogacy ay ang paghahanap ng tamang surrogate mother.

“Accepting the fact that we wouldn’t try on me anymore. And then, we have to go to the third party. That was a big transition for me and then the whole trying to do it here but it’s more advanced in the States. So, we spent a lot of time trying to do it here when it could have been done a lot faster,” sabi pa ni Alice.

Inamin ni Alice na never daw siyang na-preggy. Hindi raw kasi “kumakapit ” (terminology na ginagamit sa pagbubuntis). Willing naman daw si Alice na magpabuntis, but it was her and her partner daw ang nag-decide na subukan nila ang surrogacy.

One year and eight months na raw si Aura ngayon. Mahilig daw mag-climb ang kanyang baby kaya plano niyang i-enroll sa gymnastics.

“She does not talk in full sentences pa. Napu-frustrate kapag hindi nae-express ang kanyang sarili 'coz she likes expressing herself. She speaks English-Tagalog. And then, her Papa speaks to her in French. So, hopefully, she will pick-up all three languages right away. She’s very stubborn. If she didn’t get what she wants, nagta-tantrums na ‘yan. She’s very athletic like the both of us," tsika pa ni Alice kay Dra. Vicki.

Samantala, ipinost din ni Dra. Vicki sa kanyang Instagram ang short clip ng kanyang interview kay Alice. Pero kalurky ang mga netizens dahil ibang artista ang laman ng mga comments nila.

Instead of Alice, ang controversial na si Alex Gonzaga ang pinag-uusapan ng mga netizens sa comment section ng IG post ni Dra. Vicki.

Kilala kasing malapit si Alex kay Dra. Vicki kaya may mga pa-“warning” sila sa beauty surgeon tungkol sa younger sissy ni Toni Gonzaga.

“Pls. don’t collab anymore with that girl who disrespected the waiter. She will ruin your good image and good heart and positive vibes.”

“I had to cancel my treatments & switch with Aivee because you've been connected with problematic people. Well, let’s say Alex Gonzaga to name a few.”
