COVID-19, tumaas ang kaso dahil kumakalat sa trabaho — Belmonte

Tumaas ang kaso ng COVID-19 sa Quezon City dahil sa pagkakahawahan sa mga lugar na pinagtatrabahuhan o workplaces, ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan ngayong Lunes.


Sa datos ng City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU), sa 722 positive cases mula noong February 28 hanggang March 13, 104 cases ang kumalat sa mga workplaces na maraming empleyado.


Pahayag ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, “Reports showed that household transmission stems from one member of the household acquiring the virus from his workplace.


"We have instructed our departments to closely look into workplaces and check if they still adhere to our health protocols. Employers must do all they could to minimize risks among their employees, especially essential workers, so they won’t bring the virus home to their families.”


Simula ngayong araw, March 15, nagpatupad ng liquor ban ang lokal na pamahalaan sa QC at pansamantala ring ipinasara ang ilang establisimyento dahil sa paglobo ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa Metro Manila.


Noong March 14, 2,991 ang aktibong kaso sa QC at 32,024 ang mga gumaling na at 863 naman ang mga pumanaw dahil sa COVID-19.
