NCAA, hindi aatras para sa opening ng 96th season game

Binabalak at desididong ituloy ng National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) ang pagdaraos ng kanilang 96th season sa pamamagitan ng pagsubok na magsagawa ng mga piling events na maaaring gawin sa gitna ng mga limitasyon dulot ng coronavirus pandemic.

Nakapaloob sa proposals ang mga events na ginawa sa NBA All-Star Weekend Skills Challenge gaya ng Three-Point Shootout at Slam Dunk Contest. Ayon pa kay Calvo, naisumite na nila ang nasabing plano sa Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, Department of Education at Commission on Higher Education. "Our legal department already sent a letter requesting a dialogue for a sort of talk with them in order how to do it," wika ni Calvo. Kaugnay naman ng pagbabakuna sa kanilang student-athletes at officials, nakipag-ugnayan na ang liga sa pamilya Campos, ang may-ari ng Emilio Aguinaldo College at ng pharmaceutical company na Unilab ang napaulat na distributor ng COVID-19 vaccine Covovax sa pribadong sektor.
