BF, shocked na shocked… CONG. ARJO, BIGLANG DINALA NI MAINE SA HK NU'NG V-DAY

Walang pakialam si Quezon City District 1 Representative Arjo Atayde sa ‘di mamatay-matay na isyu between her fiancée na si Maine Mendoza at sa kalabtim nitong si Alden Richards na diumano'y kasal na at may anak na rin.

Hindi naman masisisi ang mga netizens at fans, especially ang AlDub, na patuloy na mag-react sa relasyon nina Cong. Arjo at Maine. Kahit noon pa man, possessive na ang fans sa mga paborito nilang artista, lalo na kung may kalabtim.

Idagdag pa ang latest interview kay Alden sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda kung saan nag-open-up ang Kapuso actor tungkol sa kanila ni Maine to some of their fans’ disappointment.

Ini-reveal ni Alden na never silang nagkaroon ng intimate relationship ni Maine except for being magka-love team.

Say ni Arjo, “Wala na po akong pakialam d’yan. Ang dami ko pong problema sa District 1, huwag na ‘yan. Hindi ko na ‘yan pinapansin. There’s so much better things to do. Life is moving on with me and Maine.”

Tinanong din namin si Cong. Arjo kung naaapektuhan ba siya kapag nalalagay sa isyu si Maine gaya na lang nu’ng recent controversy sa pagsa-shopping ng fiancée abroad na tinawag na suplada si Maine. May mga nakisimpatya kay Maine but at the same time, may nang-bash din dito.

“Obviously, iba-iba rin po, eh. They took her the wrong way. I don’t want to speak about the incident.

“Uh, will always be judged. We, as actors, I’m a public servant, I’m judged in a way.

“So, you know, I feel bad in a way. Obviously, I’m affected. As her fiancè, I’m really be affected.

“But they don’t know her. She really means well for everyone. She’s such a kind person. So, if something happens like that, of course, maaapektuhan ka. Pero nandoon siya (sales agent ng shop) sa ibang bansa. Ano’ng gusto ninyong gawin ko?” biro ni Cong. Arjo.

Pagkatapos ay seryoso niyang sinabi, “But I definitely will defend her, ‘di ba? I feel insulted for her and I feel bad that someone did that to her. But obviously, just be there for her. Kasi anyways, at the end of the day, I know she didn’t mean anything bad to anyone.”

And like other celebrity couples, masayang ipinagdiwang nina Cong. Arjo at Maine ang last Valentine’s Day, with matching pasorpresa si Maine sa fiancé.

“Opo, sinorpresa niya po ako. We’ve been very busy and we had to attend something for February 14, ‘yun po.

“Siguro, the only thing I’d say is yes, ‘yung Hong Kong. Sinorpresa niya po ako. One day in Hong Kong,” pagkatamis-tamis na sabi ni Cong. Arjo.

Nag-conspire si Maine at ang staff sa office ni Cong. Arjo para sa mga travel documents, schedule at iba pang bagay-bagay na kaakibat sa kanilang pagbiyahe patungong HK.

“Sabi ko, 'Paano ‘yung travel clearance?' Hahaha! But obviously, she has her ways of surprising. We celebrated Valentine’s Day later. But nothing for the best and I really enjoyed it,” kuwento niya.

Nakausap namin si Cong. Arjo sa oath taking ceremony ng mga bagong halal na officers and board members ng Philippine Movie Press Club na ginanap sa headquarters ng team ng actor/politician sa Kyusi noong Biyernes, Pebrero 17.

Nanumpa ang bagong PMPC President na si Fernan de Guzman kasama ang iba pang opisyal na kinabibilangan nina Mell Navarro (Vice-President), Jimi Escala (Secretary), Mildred Bacud (Assistant Secretary), Boy Romero (Treasurer), Lourdes Fabian (Assistant Treasurer), Eric Borromeo (Auditor), Leony Garcia at Glen Sibonga (Public Relations Officers).

Habang ang mga board members ay sina Joe Barrameda, Roldan Castro, Rodel Fernando, John Fontanilla, Rommel Placente at Francis Simeon.

Naging saksi sa ginanap na oath-taking ceremony ang mga dating pangulo ng PMPC na sina Melba Llanera, Sandy Mariano and yours truly.

Sa kanyang speech, nagpasalamat si Cong. Arjo sa PMPC sa pagiging bahagi ng kanyang showbiz career.

Paglalahad ni Cong. Arjo, “I'm grateful to PMPC as PMPC has been with me and always with me since the beginning of my career. You gave me opportunities to soar in whatever that I was doing especially in my first few years. So, I owe you guys.

"I'm blessed to be given this opportunity to oath the PMPC. I never thought this would possibly happen, but it happened. And I owe it to you guys.

"I am here to support the movie industry and all the organizations that are involved, all stakeholders that are involved in this industry. May it be in general or specifically in TV or films, I am here to help. I will help all of you as much as I can as long as I'm here. Maraming-maraming salamat po! I'm just so happy to see everyone.”

Ang PMPC ang namamahala at nag-oorganisa ng taunang Star Awards for Movies, Television, at Music.
