Bagong Foxies, gugulatin ang katunggali sa PVL Opening

Manonorpresa ang bagong koponan na Farm Fresh Foxies na binubuo ng mga manlalaro galing ng back-to-back NCAA champions na College of Saint Benilde Blazers at dating players ng Adamson University Lady Falcons sa 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference na magsisimula bukas sa FilOil EcoOil Center sa San Juan City.

Pagbibidahan nina 2023 Finals MVP Jade Gentapa, Gayle Pascual, Mitch Gamit, Cloanne Mondonedo, Jessa Dorog, Clydel Catarig, Chin Basarte, Kim Estenzo, Fiona Getigan, Zam Nolasco, Camille Avila, Wielyn Estoque, Cristy Ondangan at Corrine Apostol mula CSB Lady Blazers at mga dating Lady Falcons na sina Trisha Gayle Tubu, Kate Santiago, Aprylle Tagisip at Jelean Lazo, gayundin ang dating Ateneo Blue Eagles players na sina Joan Narit at Sofia Daniela “Pia” Ildefonso.

“So far, they've been training non-stop. For the Blazers, they never stopped training since the NCAA. And coach Jerry has been very hands-on with the team, integrating all of the players into one cohesive unit,” wika ni assistant team manager Kiara Cruz. Makakasama ng Farm Fresh sa Group B ang Choco Mucho Flying Titans, Cignal HD Spikers, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, Petro Gazz Angels, at baguhang Foton Tornadoes.

“On our side, our family is already here in sports while my dad used to play volleyball. Ako rin, I used to play because of my dad. It's a sport that has been lingering around with the family. For us, why not try? We are already in basketball so why not volleyball?” saad ni team manager Janica Lao, anak ni sports patron Frank Lao.

Kamakailan lang ay nagdesisyong umalis sa Adamson sina Tubu, Santiago, Tagisip, Rizza Cruz at ace playmaker Louie Romero matapos tanggalin sa Adamson si head coach Jerry Yee, na sinalo naman ng UE Lady Warriors para gumabay sa koponan sa season 86th ng UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.
