Proud si Andre Yllana sa pagiging stage mother ng kanyang inang si Aiko Melendez sa kanya.

Pinasok na rin kasi nito ang mundo ng showbiz katulad ng mga magulang niya.

Kasama si Andre sa teen drama series na The Rain in España na pinagbibidahan ng mga dating PBB housemates na sina Heaven Peralejo at Marco Gallo.

Hindi nahihiyang ibinahagi ni Andre na tinatawagan siya ng ina tuwing umaga upang tanungin at kumustahin kapag nasa set na siya para mag-taping.

Kuwento niya, "It was very early and she was already asking me, 'Oh, nandiyan ka na ba, anak?

Kumain ka na ba?' That's one of the things she always reminds me — that I have to be punctual, I have to always be on time."

Base sa paglalarawan niya sa kanyang ina na si Aiko ay talagang masasabi na isa nga itong 'stage mother'.

"But in a good way," ang mabilis na bawi ni Andre.

Eh, sa usapin hinggil sa eksenang kissing scene, ready na ba ang young actor at ang kanyang ina?!

"She thought I wasn't ready for it yet. So, I told her that we can't just keep declining such offers.

But I respected her decision. And looking back, I now feel that it was the right thing to do."

Aniya pa, "When I was told about the scene I had to do, I did think that maybe it was too soon. I need to prepare and be more confident."

Hindi raw siya nahihiya o napipikon kung tawagin man siyang "mama's boy" ng mga netizens. Sa katunayan, proud pa raw si Andre sa pagiging protective ng kanyang ina.

"I never felt embarrassed about it. She's just supportive of me and wants me to stay in the right direction.

"If other people feel embarrassed about [being seen as a mama's boy], not me. I'm actually proud of it. Because not everyone has the kind of relationship we have," pagtatapos ni Andre
