Inamin ni Amy na gumamit siya ng illegal drugs sa early years niya sa showbiz at naging dahilan para makagawa siya ng mga hindi kanais-nais na bagay.

Pagkatapos daw ng retreat, naramdaman niyang tinulungan siya ni Lord at kung kaya't naging mas maayos na siya. Pag-uwi daw niya ng bahay, nawala na ang addiction niya.
"'Yung six years na itina-try ko on my own, sa sarili kong kakayahan, ginawa ni Lord in three days. Sabi ko, 'Ayusin mo ang buhay ko, i-computerized mo, i-program mo. Ikaw na bahala kung saan ako papunta.'
"I think that’s the first time na talagang I surrendered my life to Him. Since then, umayos lahat, gumanda lahat, naging smooth lahat. Nalagay sa tamang puwesto ang lahat. 'Yung hindi ko akalain na mangyayari sa buhay ko, ni hindi ko pinangarap. Sobra pa sa naisip ko, inaakala ko, inaasahan ko lang dumating."
Dahil mahusay na artista, hindi pinabayaan si Amy at laging may mga magagandang projects para sa kanya sa telebisyon man o pelikula.
