After mahuli ng LTO dahil sa pekeng plaka… SIGAW NG BOC: P100M PORSCHE 918 SPYDER NI DEREK, SMUGGLED

Ipinagdiinan ng aktor na si Derek Ramsay na pag-aari niya ang Porsche 918 Spyder na ginamit ng kaibigan niyang negosyante na hindi niya pinangalanan at nahuli sa EDSA noong Agosto 14 na may plakang AJV 0918.

Base sa report ng Land Transportation Office (LTO), iba ang nagmamaneho nito, pero kay Derek nakarehistro ang sasakyan.

Nakapanayam ng OOTD (Oras ng Opinyon, Talakayan, at Diskusyon) hosts na sina Direk Chaps Manansala at Morly Alinio nitong Biyernes ng gabi si Derek at inamin nito na ipinahiram niya ang sasakyan niya sa kaibigan, at wala siya sa bansa noong nahuli ito.

“Kaibigan ko, ginamit ‘yung sasakyan ko, registered, may plaka, rehistro at ginamit n’ya. Dahil sa yabang, kinabitan n’ya ng vanity plate na may initials n’ya, so nag-apologize naman s’ya, (at) nagpunta ako sa LTO to cooperate with the LTO (staff), sinabi nila, kailangan kong dalhin ‘yung sasakyan. Dinala ko ang sasakyan the same day and I’m willing to cooperate,” bungad na kuwento ng aktor.

Dagdag pa, “‘Di po suspendido ang lisensiya ko gaya ng sinasabi ng social media, (at) ‘di po ako ang nagmamaneho na may plaka ng initials ng kaibigan ko. Nasa Vietnam po ako nu’n.”

Naka-impound sa LTO compound ang Porsche 918 Spyder habang gumugulong ang imbestigasyon.

Samantala, si Derek na rin ang nagbukas na bukod sa LTO issue ay nakarating din daw sa kanya na may problema rin sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang naturang sasakyan dahil dinaya raw ang papeles nito para hindi magbayad ng tamang buwis.

Sey ni BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, “‘Yung mas mahal na uri ng Porsche, ‘yung tinatawag na Spyder Porsche limited edition, nagkakahalaga noong panahon na ito’y pumasok noong 2021 between P75 to P100 million. Ang Boxster noong panahong ‘yun ay between P6 to P10 million depende sa specs.

“Ngayon, dahil idineklara itong P6 to P10 million, ang pinagbayarang buwis lang nito ay mababa sa P2 million o P1.8 million, na ang dapat binayaran nito ay mahigit P30 to P35 million. So, naisahan dito ang gobyerno, nadaya.”

Dahil dito, kailangan daw bawiin ng BOC ang Porsche Spyder ng aktor kaya nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa LTO tungkol dito.

“Ang trabaho natin, kahit ikaw ay sikat, ikaw ay makapangyarihan, ikaw ay nasa puwesto, kailangan nating ipatupad ang batas. Sa kaso na ‘to, ito ay kaso ng smuggling, kailangan talaga natin itong hulihin,” diin ng BOC commissioner.

Sey ni Derek kina Morly at Direk Chaps, “And now I’m hearing na may issue sa Bureau of Customs and I’m willing to cooperate and answer anything that they have to ask me.”

Tanong ni Direk Chaps, “Alam ko medyo sensitive ‘yung (issue), nakakasakit na ikaw ang bumili, tapos kailangan mong sagutin ang lahat ng (tanong).”

“Well, responsibility ko po ‘yun as the owner of the car. ‘Di ko po itinatago ang ownership po n’yan, nakarehistro po sa pangalan ko. That car was a dream car, investment kasi it’s a collectible, so, nag-invest po ako sa kotseng ‘yan, nasa pangalan ko. But of course, the LTO and BOC were just doing their job and like I said, I’m willing to cooperate and everything and anything they need, nandito po ako,” katwiran ni Derek.

Sundot ni Morly, totoo ba na nasa P200M ang presyo ng Porsche 918 Spyder na pag-aari ng aktor?

“‘Di naman, medyo na-exxags (exaggerated) na ‘yung presyo nu’n na P200 milyon. Ang kotse is worth a lot of money, yes, and the car is appreciating slowly. Again, sinabi ko, binili ko po ‘yan kasi dream car and investment,” pagtutuwid ni Derek.

Anyway, nu’ng taong 2020, panahon ng pandemya, ay nabalitang ibinebenta ng aktor ang mga luxury cars niyang Aston Martin DB11, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta at Rolls-Royce Ghost. Wala lang kaming update kung naibenta na niya ang mga ‘yun.

KAUGNAY nito, naglabas ng saloobin si Derek Ramsay sa kanyang Instagram (IG) Stories kahapon ng umaga at pinanindigan niyang hindi siya smuggler dahil base sa pahayag ni BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, kaso ng smuggling ang hindi pagsasabi ng tamang presyo ng Porsche 918 Spyder.

Sey ni Derek, “I’m not a smuggler, nor did I import this vehicle into the country. I have never imported any vehicle into the Philippines.

“I purchased this car four years ago from JHON LEE of JWORKS using my hard earned money. At the time of purchase, I was informed that the vehicle was tax-paid. The vehicle was subsequently registered with the LTO and the registration and plates were issued under my name.

“I have no idea why this issue is now happening. I want to reiterate that I purchased the vehicle in good faith and believed that everything was properly documented and legally registered.

“I have already cooperated with the LTO regarding the issue involving the plates, and I will also fully cooperate with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) regarding this new matter.

“I respectfully maintain that I had no involvement in the importation, taxation, or registration of this vehicle beyond purchasing it in good faith from JWorks. I sincerely hope that JWorks provides an explanation and takes the necessary steps to clarify and resolve this matter.

“I am willing to provide any documents or information in my possession and cooperate with the authorities as necessary to establish the facts.”
