Sinagot ni Liza Soberano ang isang basher na tinawag siyang ‘hypocrite’ sa kanyang recent post sa X (dating Twitter).

Ini-repost ng aktres ang isang ABS-CBN news item na nagsasaad na 7 menor-de-edad ang nai-rescue ng awtoridad sa isang entrapment operation.

Sa caption ay ipinaliwanag ni Liza na kumpirmadong ang Pilipinas ay global hotspot for Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC).

“A study by the @IJM in partnership with the Philippine Government and a variety of stakeholders, under the U.S.-Philippines child protection compact confirmed that the Philippines is a global hotspot for OSEC with data from participating law enforcement agencies globally showing that the country received more than eight times as many referrals as any other country during the 2010-2017 baseline period,” caption ni Liza.

Maraming netizens ang nag-react sa kanyang post — may positibo at negatibo. Ang ilan ay nagpasalamat sa kanya for speaking up, habang ang iba naman ay binash siya at sinabihang ipokrita.

“Hypocrite @lizasoberano. You dip your fingers in Ph society again because you can’t criticize sensitive issues vs. US, your birthland and now homeland. Your own claimed trauma happened in the US so why didn’t you call out US government agencies that protect children’s rights and welfare?” komento ng netizen.

Hindi ito pinalampas ng aktres at agad niyang sinagot.

“I don’t know, maybe because I’m more passionate about Filipino people? Maybe because literally nobody else with a platform is willing to shed light and talk about the horrible things happening to the Filipino people. The US has their own problems but there are millions of educated people who are loud and fighting to bring awareness and make change,” saad ni Liza.

Dagdag pa niya, “If I’m being honest the Philippines does not have a lot of that and it’s people like you that are perpetuating the abuse and lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging that there are things that need fixing you’d rather turn a blind eye because it’s not affecting you.”

Sa huli ay sinita niya ang basher at sinabing, “Shame on you. Shame on everyone who remains silent when evil things are being done to the people around you.”

Sinagot din ng aktres ang pumuna sa kanyang typo error. Sa halip kasi na “stakeholders” ay “steak holders” ang kanyang natipa kaya ikinorek siya ng iba.

“Lol! (laugh out loud) at the amount of comments correcting my typo. That’s not the point, people. Instead of policing my English, why don’t we practice being informed about what’s going on in our country. There are horrible atrocities being committed towards the most vulnerable people in our country and the people in power need to be held accountable for not being able to protect them,” sagot ni Liza.

Paliwanag pa niya sa isa niyang reply, “Thank you po. I was just so mad the moment I started typing, lol. Didn’t catch the typo.”

HER MAJAsty is back!

Pasabog ang pagbabalik-Kapamilya teleserye ni Maja Salvador kung saan pagbibidahan niya ang inaabangang primetime serye ng ABS-CBN.

Makakasama ni Maja sa naturang proyekto ang dalawa pang bigating artista na sina Kathryn Bernardo at James Reid.

Kinumpirma ito ng Dreamscape Entertainment kahapon (Setyembre 5) sa isang video na ipinost sa social media kung saan nasa isang photoshoot sina Maja, Kathryn, at James at may caption na: “Someone is going to mess with them.”

Natuwa naman ang mga fans sa balita dahil matagal na nilang inaabangan ang pagsasama-sama ng tatlong bigating stars sa isang primetime teleserye ng ABS-CBN.

Katulad nina Kathryn at James, magsisilbi rin itong Kapamilya teleserye comeback ni Maja pagkatapos ng The Killer Bride (TKB) noong 2019 at nagkaroon din siya ng special guest appearance sa The Iron Heart (TIH) noong 2022.

Una nang inanunsiyo ng serye ang pagtatambal nina Kathryn at James kung saan nagtala ang video teaser ng higit 3.5 milyong views sa loob ng 24 oras.
