Taas-singil sa kuryente ngayong Disyembre – Meralco

Inanunsiyo ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) sa mga kostumer nito ang ipapatupad na dagdag-singil sa mga electric bills ngayong Disyembre matapos na makumpleto ng kumpanya ang isang mandated refund order ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Ayon sa Meralco, ang electric bills ay tataas ng P0.33 per kwh ngayong buwan.

Para sa mga kostumer na kumokonsumo ng 200 kwh may dagdag-singil na P66, sa kumokonsumo ng 300kwh nasa P99, sa kumokonsumo ng 400kwh nasa P132 at sa kumokonsumo ng 500kwh ay nasa P165.

“We had an upward adjustment P0.33 per kWh rounded off for December. This is the 1st of the 4 distribution rate reductions which the ERC ordered us to implement kaya hindi nahabol ng pagbaba,” pahayag ni Meralco Spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga sa isang briefing.

Una nang iniutos ng ERC sa Meralco ang pagsasagawa ng refund sa kanilang mga kostumer.

Ayon sa Meralco, “there are still three ongoing refunds with a total of P1.3340 per kwh that continue to temper the costs of electric bills. These are expected to be fully refunded by December 2022, January 2023 and May 2023 which ‘impact will subsequently be felt in the succeeding billing periods’.”

Gayundin, sinabi ni Zaldarriaga, “an upward adjustment is also seen by January 2023 due to the completion of another round of refunds as well as the suspension of San Miguel Corp's South Premiere Power Corp supply to Meralco.”
