Isasara ang 53-anyos na gusali ng Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) ng dalawa hanggang tatlong taon simula Enero 1, 2023 para magbigay-daan sa renovation. Ito ang inanunsyo ni CCP President Margarita Moran-Floreindo sa ginanap na organizational briefing ng Senate Committee on Culture and the Arts ngayong Huwebes. “I would like to announce also, senator, that the CCP is closing its doors in January 2023 because we are now renovating the whole building and structural retrofitting,” pahayag ni Floreindo.

“We will need more funds than what we expected because we did not expect to move out and because when they started to open the little theater, they saw the structural retrofitting that are needed. So the whole staff are moving out of the building for next year,” saad ni Floreindo.

“It (included in the NEP) but [it is] not enough because we did not know that we all have to move out all at the same time. It was supposed to be by floor,” ani Floreindo.
