We are pleased as we saw everyone’s enthusiasm in the cube,” wika ni Tolentino, upang mapabilang ang bagong palakasan sa SEA Youth Plus sa Dis. 2 hanggang 14 sa Metro Manila.

“We have unlocked a new era in speed cubing—from long time ago when as kids, we got enamored with the Rubik’s Cube,” aniya bilang pinuno rin ng National League of Mind Sports at vice president ng Asian Mind Sports Association (AMSA).

Kinamada ng 15-anyos mula Baguio City na si Arradaza ang pambihirang world record sa 3x3x3 one-handed speed cubing event kapareha ng mga potensiyal na world champion tulad ng 19-year-old na si Brenton Wong (regular cube) at Aragon Martin Gonzales (Pyraminx).

“I’m happy Filipinos have gone competitive in this mind sport, which doesn’t require height, but tactics, speed and skills,” eksplika ni Tolentino. “We’re satisfied in promoting the sport because there are many Filipinos who play the cube.”
