Semifinals ng Champion's League: Crossovers handa vs. Angels

Tinapos ng Chery Tiggo Crossovers ang kanilang stint sa elimination at pinisak na at walang panalo ang Philippine Army Troopers, 25-16, 25-14, 28-26, 25-25 sa PNVF Champions League 2024 sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Ginapi rin ng Petro Gazz Angels ang CSB Blazers 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 para sa  third spot at makakalaban ang Chery Tiggo sa semifinals. 

Pinamunuan ng dreaded trio sina Ennajie Laure, Ma. Shaya Adorador at Princess Annie Robles ang pagdispatsa sa Lady Troopers sa four sets na tumagal ng 2 oras. Si Laure, isa sa dalawang anak ni dating PBA player Eddie Laure ay gumawa ng 21 points sa 68 attempts at limang service points at 6 points sa third set sa pangatlong panalo sa apat na laro ng Crossovers.

Kumamada si Adorador ng 20 kasama ang limang points sa 3rd set at 14 points sa 35 total attempts at si Robles na 14 points. “Sabi ko sa mga players ko maglaro nang husto at patatagin ang depensa para masiguro ang panalo,” sabi ni coach Emilio 'Kungfu' Reyes.

Dinomina ng Crossovers ang lahat na departments at nagtala ng 62 points sa 158 total attempts kumpara sa Army na 40 points of 160 attempts.

Nilisan ng Army ang torneo na walang ipinanalo sa lungkot ni coach Randy Fallorina at assistant mentor Patricia Torres.  “This tournament will gauge the level of competitiveness of the players from the previous tournaments. This competition designed to elevate the individual skill of the players,” sabi ni PNVF president Ramon “Tats" Suzara.

Sisimulan ang semifinal round ngayong Sabado. Ang top two teams ay maglalaban sa one game winner-take-all finals. Matapos ang women competition, lalaruin ang men’s sa Pebrero 11 tampok ang walong koponan.
