May nag-post kasi sa X na blind item pero knows agad ng mga netizens kung sinu-sino ang mga artistang tinutukoy dito.

IN the works na pala ang sequel para sa box office hit movie sa 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, ang Deadma Walking (DW) sa direksiyon ni Julius Alfonso, written by Eric Cabahug and produced by T-Rex Entertainment.

Actually, noon pa inaabangan ang sequel ng DM right after mapanood sa MMFF. Pero s’yempre, ‘di naman ganoon kadaling gumawa ng sequel, ‘di ba?

But now, after seven years, nakaka-excite malaman na in the works na ang sequel ng DM na may working title na Drag Me 2 Heaven (DM2H).

Ayon kay Direk Julius sa panayam sa kanya ni Alwyn Ignacio ng Daily Tribune, “Initially, walang plano at all for a sequel, not even a prequel. But there was a clamor for a follow-up to DM. Through the years, our first venture developed some sort of a cult following.  

“Halfway through the pandemic era, our writer Eric Cabahug, creative producer Vanessa de Leon and I constantly discussed it. A couple of months ago, while developing some other projects and concepts, we formally decided for this long-awaited and anticipated sequel.  

“We are so excited about it. Throughout the brainstorming, we’ve come up with endless possibilities about the characters and the narrative.”

Naniniwala si Direk Julius na nagdala ng bago at kapana-panabik na tema ang DM para sa genre nito. May tamang dami lang ng komedya (na walang katawa-tawa) at drama (na hindi masyadong sentimental).

Para kay Direk Julius, life-changing ang idinulot sa kanya ng pagpapalabas ng DM na first directorial movie niya.

Less than a month after ipalabas ang DM sa mga sinehan, inalok agad si Direk Julius na gumawa ng teleserye sa ABS-CBN, ang Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko (SD) nina Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap at Robin Padilla.

Bukod d’yan, may ginawa pa na pelikula si Direk Julius para sa sinehan at streaming platforms. Plus, iba pang projects for cable networks.

Mapapanood pa rin daw sa sequel ng DM sina Joross Gamboa, Edgar Allan Guzman at Dimples Romana.
