Sa railway projects ng ‘Pinas… Ex-UK PM Blair, gustong sumuporta – DOTr

Ipinahayag ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista, ng Martes (Miyerkules, oras sa Pilipinas), na si dating United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair ay interesadong suportahan ang mga railway projects ng Pilipinas.

Bahagi si Bautista ng delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa Davos, Switzerland, kung saan si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ay kalahok sa 2023 World Economic Forum.

“Me, personally I was able to share with Mr. Tony Blair the projects of the Department of Transportation and he was very interested in supporting, especially the railway projects of the government,” sabi ni Bautista sa isang interview.

“And sabi nga nila, it’s a very good performance and they hope that we will continue that good performance of the country,” dagdag niya.

Una nang ibinunyag ni Bautista na ang DOTr ay nakapag-secure na ng mahigit $6 million para sa feasibility studies ng ilang railway projects.

Ayon kay Bautista, mahalaga na matalakay ang mga infrastructure projects ng gobyerno na kasama ang iba’t ibang industry leaders.

“After ng WEF, we are expecting that we will be able to implement the programs of the department, not only to help the Filipinos to have a very good transport experience but also to attract mga tourists natin,” saad pa ni Bautista.
