Ni-reschedule ng Maynilad Water Services, Inc. ang nakatakdang water service interruptions kasabay ng pagsasagawa ng pipe realignment activity sa Manila.

Unang naiskedyul ang pagkawala ng serbisyo ng tubig ng Oktubre 25-28, subalit nagpasya ang Maynilad na iurong ito ng Oktubre 29 hanggang Nobyembre 1 dahil anila, “a deluge of requests from customers to defer the activity so that they have more time to prepare.”

“This coincides with the break for Undas when people typically go to the provinces and fewer customers are expected to be home, thus mitigating the impact of the service interruptions on consumers,” ayon sa isang statement ng Maynilad.

“Given the deferment, Maynilad will also use the extra time to further increase our available complement of mobile water tankers and stationary water tanks, with the assistance of local government units and the local fire bureaus,” paliwanag ng Maynilad.

Gayunman, ang listahan ng mga apektadong lugar at kanilang nakatakdang service interruption schedules ay pareho pa rin.

“Only the dates of implementation were pushed back,” sabi pa ng Maynilad.

Sakop ng service interruptions ang Las Piñas; Makati; Manila; Parañaque; Pasay; Bacoor; Cavite City; Imus; Kawit, Cavite; Noveleta, Cavite; at Rosario, Cavite.

Una nang sinabi ng Maynilad na ang pipe realignment para sa flood control project ng gobyerno ay magreresulta sa water supply interruptions na tatagal ng 25 hanggang 85-oras.
