Sa Abu Dhabi boboto sa 2022 elections… HIRIT NI PIA: VOTER’S REGISTRATION ABROAD, MAS MADALI

Proud na ibinalita ni 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach sa kanyang Instagram account kahapon ang pagpaparehistro niya sa Philippine Embassy sa Abu Dhabi para makaboto sa 2022 national elections.

Ipinost ni Pia ang piktyur niya habang nakatayo sa labas ng Philippine Embassy sa Abu Dhabi, ilang documents at ang kanyang Philippine passport.

Tulad ng Kapamilya actress na si Erich Gonzales, ipinaalala ni Pia sa mga Pinoy at ipinaalam sa mga kababayan natin sa naturang bansa kung kailan at saan puwedeng magparehistro.

"Here’s your reminder to register to vote for Halalan 2022! Two weeks left ‘til voter’s registration closes on Sept. 30," umpisa ng caption ni Pia sa kanyang latest Instagram post.

Kasunod nito ay ibinahagi ni Pia sa mga netizens ang kuwento kung bakit nagdesisyon siya na sa ibang bansa na magparehistro kesa rito sa ‘Pinas.

“A little story… The last time I was in Abu Dhabi, I realized that I might not be home in the Philippines come elections time. And I don’t want to miss this coming elections.

"Since I’ll be flying between Abu Dhabi and Manila more frequently next year, which might be the case on May 9, 2022, I immediately went to the Philippine Embassy last time I was there to register and make sure that I’ll be able to cast my vote even when I’m not in the Philippines.

"Whether I’ll be working or traveling, this is my PROMISE to myself and my COMMITMENT to my country that I will be able to cast my vote on May 9.

"YOUR VOTE MATTERS. Let’s all do our part. Kung mahal mo ang Pilipinas, gawin natin ang ating karapatan na bumoto para sa ating bayan.”

Hinangaan at pinasalamatan naman si Pia ng mga kababayan natin abroad sa kanyang IG post.

Naengganyo rin ni Pia ang ilang Pinoy abroad na mag-register sa designated Philippine Embassy sa bansang kinaroroonan nila.

"This post seem convincing, I live in AUH and hasn't voted for a very long time, maybe I will ask my friends here na we go and register."

Reply ni Pia, "Yes! I found the process to be easier pa nga para sa mga nasa abroad. Hindi ganoon kahaba ang pila at mabilis talaga. Just bring your passport!"
