Pansamantalang ipinagbawal ng Department of Agriculture ang importasyon ng poultry products mula sa Mitoyo City, Kagawa, Japan dahil sa H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak.


Ipinag-utos ni Agriculture Secretary William Dar ang pagbabawal sa importasyon ng domestic at wild birds at poultry meat, mga sisiw, at itlog.


Suspendido rin ang processing at evaluation ng application at issuance ng sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance sa Japan.
