The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) delivered aid to thousands of residents in the Bicol region who were severely affected by Typhoon Kristine.
From November 7 to 9, 2024 the PCSO Board of Directors composed of members Janet De Leon Mercado, Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, and former Vice Governor of Camarines Sur Imelda Papin, worked alongside PCSO employees and local government officials to ensure that immediate relief reached those who were most affected by the typhoon.
The distribution efforts targeted various areas in Camarines Sur, including the municipalities of Libmanan, Pamplona, Bula, Nabua, Buhi, San Jose, Tinambac, Lagonoy, and Magarao. The PCSO also extended its assistance to the communities of Tiwi and Rapu-Rapu in Albay.
Beyond providing immediate food relief, the PCSO demonstrated its commitment to long-term support by providing 50 educational assistance grants to students in Libmanan and Pamplona, Camarines Sur. This initiative aims to help students continue their education while reeling from the aftermath of the typhoon.
These actions are in line with the PCSO's core mandate to help Filipino citizens and the agency's dedication to its Corporate Social Responsibility program.
The PCSO remains committed to supporting communities in times of need, ensuring that Filipinos receive the assistance they require to recover and rebuild.
PCSO, Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong!
