Pangilinan, agree kay Lacson na ‘original sin’ ang insertions sa flood control scam

Sinabi ni Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan na sang-ayon siya sa pahayag ni Sen. Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson na ‘original sin’ ang insertions sa bilyun-bilyong flood control scam sa bansa.

“I agree with Senator Ping regarding the ‘original sin’ but if I may add, the last nail on the coffin of public accountability, is in the unacceptable delays in the resolution of corruption cases and the paltry conviction rates of 47 percent,” ayon kay Pangilinan.

Dagdag pa niya, “Ultimately, punishing the guilty and ending massive corruption lie in the hands of the Justices and Judges of our country’s Judicial system.”

“If any good is to come out from this terrible situation it has to be that sweeping reforms must be undertaken and that public accountability and good governance are pursued with dogged determination. Stay vigilant!” saad pa nito.
